Run the frozen paper engines and run the existing SURGE fixed-stop risk architecture and preserve any mid-session configuration changes as separate evidence rather than rewriting the outcome.
Evidence first.
Then improve the system.
CORE produced one Reconciled winning paper trade. SURGE recorded four losing trades in its retained ledger; its broker reconciliation is still pending, so those results are shown transparently but are not promoted into verified cumulative evidence.
SURGE: 0 wins (0.0%) · 4 losses (100.0%). Updated after the corrected October 6 EOD rerun. Fees and net pending.
Mid-session SURGE change: The first two AIXI trades ran under the earlier Risk v3 setup. Before IPDN and JAGX, the production universe was changed to $2–$10 and the daily loss gate to $100. Those later trades therefore belong to a separate mid-session build marker; all four remain reconciliation pending.
Publication boundary: the scheduled EOD reconciliation returned FAIL because SURGE reported SURGE_LEDGER_VALUES_MISMATCH. CORE passed independently. SURGE rows below come from the retained production ledger and remain provisional until the broker mismatch is resolved. No net P&L is claimed because fees remain pending.

Times are Pacific. CORE is Reconciled. SURGE values are preserved exactly from the production trade ledger while broker reconciliation remains unresolved.
PDCA · what October 6 changed
The engines ran in their separate paper accounts. Preserve fills, runner logs, decisions and the SURGE ledger.
CORE's repaired entry logic produced one +$12 gross target. SURGE's four losses exposed the weakness of applying a fixed stop and account-percentage sizing across stocks with different prices, spreads and volatility.
Freeze October 6 as historical evidence. Start a new prospective SURGE v2 cohort on October 7 using technical-stop risk sizing rather than rewriting today's trades.
SURGE v2 · prospective change
The next build uses the widest of structure, volatility and spread-derived stops; rejects a required stop wider than about 4%; sizes normal risk to approximately $20 subject to account caps; uses a 2R target; retains the 10-minute time exit; and adds an immediate hard backstop at 1.5× the normal stop distance.
Independent pre-deployment code audit passed. N1–N5 were verified resolved with no blocker or important findings. Production identity: SURGE-V2-TECHNICAL-RISK-FINAL-2026-10-07, code hash 8e54e445d9c7ec02. October 7 is the start of the new SURGE v2 cohort.
The v2 design is a prospective hypothesis, not evidence that the new approach will be profitable. Results will be evaluated only from trades generated after the cohort boundary.
Research standard
Wins and losses stay in the record. Verified results are distinguished from unresolved reconciliation. Missing fees remain missing rather than being estimated. Strategy changes create a new cohort instead of rewriting prior evidence.
